dr report: she's very nice really. she looked at my charts and all the little x's and went hmm, yes, you should have by now.
husband said very little. we now have referrals to get a) a bloodtest for me at day 19 or 20, to check for the progesterone levels that will prove I'm ovulating (I'm quite sure I am) and b) a sperm test for him. we get to bring a little kit home to "produce a sample", then it has to go back asap - within 1/2 an hour. that's a relief, I had really thought he'd have to go into some doctors' anteroom to do it. would not be classy at all.
also have names of two specialists; only need an appointment with one. so we'll make an appointment for after my next period, just in case it's 7th time lucky. I said to husband he didn't need to produce his sample until we were sure I wasn't pregnant this time, and he seemed a bit miffed. but denies having any fetishes to do with medical equipment.
so now all that's between us and IVF specialists is a teaspoon of eggwhite, to be applied as required when I next ovulate - over the next few days, really.
dinner menu tonight: smoked salmon omelette.
